1. **Make a Lava Lamp**
All you need is a clear glass, vegetable oil, water, food coloring, and an Alka-Seltzer tablet. Simply fill the glass about 1/3 full with vegetable oil. Then, add water to the glass until it is about 2/3 full. Add a few drops of food coloring to the water. Finally, drop an Alka-Seltzer tablet into the glass and watch the lava lamp come to life!
2. **Build a Marshmallow Tower**
This is a great activity for kids of all ages. Simply provide your kids with a bag of marshmallows and a box of toothpicks. Challenge them to build the tallest marshmallow tower they can. The tower must be able to stand on its own for at least 30 seconds.
3. **Make a Paper Airplane**
This is a classic experiment that is still a lot of fun. Simply fold a sheet of paper in half lengthwise. Then, fold the top corners of the paper down to the center crease. Fold the bottom corners of the paper up to the center crease. Finally, fold the paper in half again. You now have a paper airplane that you can fly.
4. **Make a Straw Rocket**
This is a great way to teach kids about the principles of rocketry. Simply fold a piece of paper in half lengthwise. Then, roll the paper around a straw. Secure the paper with a rubber band. Blow into the straw and watch the rocket fly.
5. **Make a Tin Can Telephone**
This is a classic experiment that is still a lot of fun. Simply poke a hole in the bottom of two tin cans. Thread a string through the holes and tie the ends together. Talk into one can and listen to your voice come out of the other can.
6. **Make a Rainbow in a Jar**
This is a beautiful experiment that is perfect for a sunny day. Simply fill a clear glass jar with water. Then, add a layer of vegetable oil to the jar. Finally, add a few drops of food coloring to the jar. The food coloring will create a rainbow in the jar.
7. **Make a Dancing Raisin**
This is a fun and easy experiment that kids of all ages will love. Simply drop a raisin into a glass of carbonated water. The raisin will start to dance up and down in the water.
8. **Make a Sink or Float Experiment**
