She started screeching like a banshee, And flying around the room, She hung upside down from the ceiling, And ate a fly for lunch, yum!

We all laughed and cheered, As she acted more and more insane, She even started to speak in tongues, And called us all her little bats.

The principal came rushing in, To see what all the commotion was about, But when he saw our teacher batty, He just shook his head and walked out.

We never did find out what made our teacher go batty, But we didn't care, we were having too much fun, We played batty games all afternoon, And laughed until our sides were sore.

When the final bell rang, Our teacher went back to normal, As if nothing had ever happened, But we all knew that day would live in infamy.

The day our teacher went batty, Was the best day of school ever, We learned that it's okay to be a little bit crazy, And that even the most boring people can surprise you.
