Mayapur

Mayapur is the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It is located on the banks of the Ganges River, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) north of Kolkata. Mayapur is a major center of pilgrimage for Gaudiya Vaisnavas. The town is home to the Sri Mayapur Temple, which is one of the largest Krishna temples in the world.

The temple was built in the 16th century by Raja Krishna Chandra Roy, a devotee of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

The temple was built in the 19th century by Raja Harinath Majumdar, a devotee of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Mahesh

The Srivas Angan is a major center of pilgrimage for Gaudiya Vaisnavas.
