Materials

Fabric scraps in a variety of colors and patterns
Batting
Backing fabric
Thread
Sewing machine

Instructions

Cut your fabric scraps into squares. The squares can be any size you want, but we recommend using squares that are at least 5 inches wide. You will need 16 squares for each quilt block.
Arrange the squares in a pleasing pattern. You can use any pattern you want, but we recommend using a simple pattern like the checkerboard pattern or the log cabin pattern. Once you have arranged the squares, sew them together into a quilt block.

Sew the quilt blocks together into rows. Once you have sewn all of the quilt blocks together, you will have a quilt top.
Layer the quilt top with the batting and the backing fabric. Quilt the layers together using a quilting ruler and your sewing machine. Once you have quilted the layers together, your quilt is finished!
